Who we are
Jitolee is a volunteer community based in Arusha, in northern Tanzania. We started with a simple belief: the answers to a community’s needs usually live inside that community. Someone nearby has the time, the skill, the spare room, the extra harvest, the medical training or the patience to teach.
Our job is to connect them. We bring together local volunteers, visiting professionals and generous supporters, and point that energy at real, practical needs — a health camp in a village without a clinic, a school that needs books, a family that needs a hand to get back on its feet.
We call it #YouMeUs: you, me, and the community we make together.

We believe every person carries the potential to change someone else’s day, and sometimes their life. Our work is to make that easy: to know where help is needed, and to make the introduction.
Creating joy through sharing.
A world where sharing time, skills, resources and love is simply how we live — and where communities grow stronger, closer and kinder because of it.
Generosity is a habit, not an event. We make it easy to give what you have — time, skill, money or a listening ear.
Service should be joyful. Our camps, visits and gatherings are full of food, music and laughter, because joy is what keeps people coming back.
No heroes on pedestals. Every volunteer, every family, every partner is part of one community that takes care of its own.
What we do
Our work follows the needs our volunteers find on the ground. These are the four areas where Jitolee shows up most often.to confirm
Volunteer doctors, nurses and students set up mobile clinics in villages far from the nearest health centre: consultations, check-ups for children, basic medicines and referrals.
School visits, learning materials, uniforms and sports days — and time spent with children who rarely get visitors.
Food, supplies and a helping hand for families going through a hard season — delivered with, and through, local volunteers who know their neighbours.
We host visiting volunteers and professionals from Tanzania and abroad, pairing them with local teams so skills are shared in both directions.
